An Engineer from Jhansi, Vishal Srivastava was working in the Airline industry when his company got shut down. He had been a brilliant student all throughout his life but suddenly his future & his professional career were filled with questions because there were not many blooming jobs left in the industry. So he knew he had to move on. Then he entered the Digital Marketing industry. He joined a course and started learning about the field.
“Even though I did a Digital Marketing Course, I knew it wasn’t really useful. Digital Marketing as a field is practical and can’t be learnt only through theoretical classes. But I liked the field so I started training & learning on the job.”
He knew that the only way to make his way through the industry was by learning on the job. Since then, his learning curve only went in one direction. He moved from unpaid training to being paid a minimal amount to earn a good amount of salary through various jobs over a few years. His last job paid him almost $950 per month (70,000 INR). A few years into the industry, he ventured into droshipping & failed miserably. Then he came across the Digital Dukaandaar Program and his life has been different ever since.
“Now I am working independently, handling online marketing clients under my own agency, and running my E-commerce business. I have stuck with the Digital Marketing industry for 6-7 years and it has paid back.”
The first time he went through the course, he just browsed through its contents. Eventually, he found a connection with the course material and got very interested. He realised that everything that is being taught in the course is completely on point. There is no bluffing and no beating around the bush. That was the reason he could connect to the course really well.
“First time I just glanced through the course like binge-watching a show on Netflix. But eventually, I started to follow it more thoroughly. I started researching and kept implementing my learnings from the course. My idea was to keep it simple & basic.”
Even now, he continues to believe in his philosophy of keeping it simple. His idea has been to not invest his focus and energy into reinventing the loop or making innovations in the existing process. His idea has been to focus on what he does best- Paid Ads, especially on Facebook. He used the most basic themes on Shopify and the most basic email plans for marketing. While people spend a lot of money on setting up amazing infrastructure, that was never his first preference. And it seemed to work really well for him.
“After working out the initial details, I started to realise that the designs that work the best are the ones that make people feel proud of who they are. So I focused on that. Initially, I thought more the sales, more the revenue. But after a while, I realised I was wrong.”
When he realised that his profit percentage is only 10% of his revenue, he changed his strategy and focused on increasing his profit margins. He stopped investing in designs that weren’t working and completely shifted his focus towards Returns on Investment (ROI). Eventually, he crossed the $96,000 mark in his Print On Demand E-commerce business. Throughout his journey, his entire focus was to minimize spending and maximize his earnings with what he has.
“I am now planning to do an email marketing course as well. I want to make the best use of the data I have. It’s been a year since I started building my store and I have achieved so many milestones. I dedicate this success completely to the team of Digital Dukaandaar.”
He genuinely believes in Digital Dukaandaar & Nishkarsh’s philosophy of being resourceful and focusing on a problem-solution approach. He feels that this experience has been life-changing for him because it has given him a sense of mental and financial freedom in his life. His growth mindset and patience to see results have got him this far into the process. You too can venture on this life-changing journey by checking out The 5 Day E-com Freedom Challenge by Digital Dukaandaar and signing up for the signature course. Vishal believes that it may not start raining Dollars as soon as you enter, but if you work hard, be consistent and push yourself, the journey will be worth it, both financially and mentally.
